The person reports to the respective Provincial Arts Manager.

Job Purpose

Arts Development and Promotion programming.

Key Result Area

  • Develop and maintain data base of arts activities in the province
  • Monitor and evaluate projects and programmes
  • Develop project proposals and concept papers for new programmes and projects for the organisation
  • Carry out research work in liaison with relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate capacity building programmes for artists
  • Prepare issue based and monthly reports
  • Planning and organising events
  • Talent identification and nurturing
  • Registration of artists, groups, Associations and organisations

Competence and Skills

  • Dynamic self-motivated person with a passion for the arts
  • Integrity, Good communication and networking skills
  • Good negotiation and marketing skills

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • A degree in arts, social sciences, marketing or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in public/private sector and NGOs will be an added advantage
  • Must be computer literate, plus at least 2 years’ experience in a related position
